Cameron Mathison’s Altadena Home Destroyed in Wildfire

Cameron Mathison, the actor best known for his roles on All My Children and General Hospital, lost his Altadena home in the Eaton Fire on January 8. The wildfire swept through the area with little warning, destroying multiple homes and forcing residents to evacuate quickly.

Mathison confirmed the loss in a heartfelt message shared with fans. He said he and his family were safe but devastated by the destruction. “We lost everything,” he wrote. “But we’re grateful to be alive.”

The actor has faced hardship before. In 2019, Mathison was diagnosed with renal cell carcinoma, a type of kidney cancer. He underwent surgery and recovered fully. He has since used his platform to promote health awareness and cancer screening. Now, facing a different kind of loss, Mathison spoke about how both experiences tested his strength.

Mathison said the evacuation happened fast. He and his family had little time to collect belongings. “We grabbed what we could and left,” he explained. “When we returned, everything was gone.”

In the days following the fire, Mathison received messages of support from fans, friends, and colleagues. Co-stars from both All My Children and General Hospital expressed sympathy and offered help. Many praised his calm, grateful response in the face of loss.
