Charlie Sheen Responds to Death Rumors: “Still Here. Still Fighting.”

Charlie Sheen, the actor best known for Two and a Half Men and Platoon, has spoken out to address persistent online rumors about his health and alleged death. In January 2025, Sheen confirmed he is alive, managing his HIV diagnosis, and focused on maintaining six years of sobriety while working to stabilize his overall health.

The 59-year-old actor took to social media to set the record straight after false reports suggested he was in critical condition or had passed away. “I’m here, I’m healthy, and I’m grateful,” Sheen wrote. “I’m managing my health and staying focused on living a balanced life.”

Sheen publicly revealed his HIV diagnosis in 2015, sparking widespread media coverage. Since then, he has been candid about his journey with the disease and the challenges of maintaining his health. He credited antiretroviral therapy with keeping his condition under control and expressed gratitude for his medical team and supporters.

In his latest update, Sheen also reflected on his sobriety. After years of struggles with substance abuse that were highly publicized during his career, the actor shared that he has remained sober for six years. “Sobriety has been the foundation of my recovery,” he said. “It’s allowed me to focus on my health and rebuild relationships.”

Sheen’s acknowledgment of his ongoing journey resonated with many fans, who praised his honesty and resilience. Messages of support flooded social media, with many expressing admiration for his progress and wishing him continued strength.

Born Carlos Irwin Estévez on September 3, 1965, Sheen became a Hollywood icon in the 1980s and 1990s with films like Wall Street, Major League, and Hot Shots!. His career reached new heights with Two and a Half Men, for which he earned multiple Emmy nominations and became one of the highest-paid actors on television.

However, his time on the sitcom ended abruptly in 2011 after a very public fallout with producers and a series of personal struggles. Since then, Sheen has worked intermittently in film and television but has shifted his focus to health, family, and advocacy.

In interviews, Sheen has expressed hope of returning to acting in the future but says his current priority is staying well. “I’m taking it one day at a time. My health, my family, and my peace of mind come first,” he shared.

Sheen lives quietly in California, spending time with his children and engaging in charity work related to HIV awareness and recovery programs. He remains optimistic about the future and grateful for the opportunity to continue his healing journey.
